Su i Monti is a medium-length production, part documentary and part film, based on a true story. It tells how a young couple came from Italy to Ilópolis, in Brazil, and it is a story about Italian immigration to Brazil.
It also marks 135 years of Italian immigration to Rio Grande do Sul.
It was filmed on a small budget, and the cast are amateurs from the region, themselves descendants of Italian immigrants. Part of the documentary is in the Venetian dialect and the rest in Portuguese. Dubbing and subtitles are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Just get in touch.
